However, with the new guidelines that advise that high blood pressure needs to be treated at 130/80 instead of 140/90, almost 50% of Americans are technically suffering from high blood pressure.

With uncontrolled blood pressure, people may have other health issues such as cognitive decline, cardiovascular disease, and kidney disease. Globally, instances of high blood pressure are on the rise.
